RE: Highly available database ....

Vivek- You probably need to try Enterprise Replication. It is built into all versions of IDS after 7.x. It allows (among other things) many nodes to update each other, so that any update made on one is replicated on the rest. If one node fails, the rest continue running seamlessly. If you need to have only one IP address associated with your database, you can use HP's MC Service Guard to fire a script which would switch a secondary server to have the same address as a downed primary. --EEM > -----Original Message----- > From: VC [mailto:vivek.chaudhary@st.com] > Sent: Thursday, February 02, 2006 3:44 PM > To: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: Highly available database .... > > > I am looking for a solution for Informix (7.31 or 9.4) to have high > availability.
