A new application we are developing recently stopped with this error in the errorlog: Program error at "pc_contr.4gl", line number 216. SQL statement error number -408. Invalid message type received from the sqlexec process. The line in question is insert into purd values (p_purd[1].*) The user reran the program it it worked fine. The Error messages in the manual, were, as is often the case, less than useful. Thanks for any advice. Richard
