Is Viewpoint included? If it's truly $500 then I might be interested, otherwise I'm continuing work on my Per-file-to-VC++-translator. This is something INFORMIX didn't bother to include in the NewEra product, allowing a migration from 4GL to NewEra. VC++ allows the use of ascii flat-files, which is just what I need to build flat-file placeholders a code-generator can use to build an application. As long as I have to spend time learning VC++, why not save some money and build the tools I really need which are 4GL and PER translators. Someone more industrious than me is probably already hard at work on this one. INFORMIX might take a lesson from the TITANIC, which was unsinkable in it's day...I'm sure Microsoft is laughing too, and now you know why my tool kit is shareware.
