Ontape Backup to Directory Error: Cannot determine

IDS 11.50.FC5 AIX 5.3 $ONCONFIG TAPEDEV /backup $ONCONFIG TAPESIZE 0 When attempting to perform a backup to disk, my client occasionally will get the following error: -> ontape -s -L 0 10 percent done. 20 percent done. 30 percent done. 40 percent done. 50 percent done. 60 percent done. 100 percent done. Backup to directory error: Cannot determine archive timestamp from /backup/Khan_0_L0 Archive failed - This was the temporary filename in use before the last failure: -rw-rw---- 1 informix informix 879230976 Nov 14 13:34 ONTA_Khan_0_Sat_Nov_14_13_33_57_2009_Ng7iya Most of the time, with no parameters in the $ONCONFIG changed, the ontape -s -L 0 will complete successfully.
