CONNECTION OBJECT

I am using RMI to connect my client-app to an Informix Online Dynamic Server 7.2 I have a single connection object which is used (synchronized) by all the clients. I suspect there must be a limitation in requests to the same connection. Each remote method reuses the object for its propose (each creates a new CallableStatement) The question is: Although the connection uses are serialized, is there any problem with this system, or should I use a connection pool?
If everybody is using the same connection object, then utilising transactions would be difficult. Actually, the procedures can be called from servlets, each with its own connection. > ASC wrote in message <36B5C865.5704346@uco.es>... > > I am using RMI to connect my client-app to an Informix Online > >Dynamic Server 7.2 > >I have a single connection object which is used (synchronized) by all > >the clients.
