ESQL for COBOL with Informix SE 4.0?

We are looking to get some preexisting COBOL (hey--stop that smirking) programs running against our database. We are running Informix SE 4.0. Informix says that they aren't sure that current versions of ESQL for COBOL will work against our version of the engine. Questions: Is Informix correct about current ESQL for COBOL not supporting engines as old as ours? Is anyone running *any* ESQL for COBOL against an SE engine as old as ours? What is the version of your ESQL for COBOL environment? Does anyone have any idea where we could purchase a copy of ESQL for COBOL that is old enough to work? -- Darin Strait
