Perl5 now includes many object oriented features that have been used to implement a dramatically improved database interface. This is the DBI or "Database Interface" and takes over from DBPerl. Much development has been done on this resulting in Database Drivers DBD's for all the major RDBMS's including DBD::Informix For further information see the URL http://www.hermetica.com/technologia/ Cheers, Peter PS.
