RE: Multiple globals command

Not strictly correct. Versions 4.13+ (or was it 4.14) and 6.01+ do. If the release you're using does not, I have the tool for you: a 4gl precompiler which, among other things, simulates multiple globals files. Find it at http://www.ctonline.it/~marcog/misc.htm HTH, Marco ____________________________________________________________________________ rem radioterapia, which I immeritately manage, seldom agrees with what I say marco greco (Catania, Italy) Work: marcog@ctonline.it rem radioterapia 39 95 447828 fax 446558 (was mar.greco@agora.stm.it) Achea 39 95 503117 --- On 12 Feb 1997 09:57:49 GMT Raymond Chow <raychow@pc.jaring.my> wrote: I have noticed that Informix does not support multiple globals command in a single source code file. Please correct me if I am wrong. If I am right, then this is a big flaw. As this flaw has just increased the maintenance costs for developing application in Informix. My arguments would there would be files used by all programs, and files used by some application modules, and some files shared by subapplicaiton modules. To repeat the variables across all the files is too expensive. If anyone out there knows the answer, please zap me. Regards Raymond Chow -----------------End of Original Message-----------------
