FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO RECEIVE GSA PRICE REDUCTION DURING BUDGET CRISIS Informix Announces Temporary GSA Price Reduction To Assist Federal Agencies During Continuing Resolution VIENNA, Va. (November 21, 1995) -- Informix Software, Inc., the leader in parallel processing database technology, today announced a ten percent (10%) reduction in GSA pricing for federal government customers. The offer is valid until such time as a final budget is signed into law, or December 31, 1995, whichever occurs first. The offer is valid, however, for no less than a thirty day period. "Informix Federal's mission has always been to provide the best data management open systems and services to the federal government," stated Ed Hammersla, executive director, Informix Federal. "Ongoing negotiations between the White House and Congress over the federal budget have created, in many agencies, a constrained ability to spend federal funds. In order to assist the government in acquiring current technology, Informix is offering this GSA price reduction to help agencies contend with current spending constraints." As a result of the last Continuing Resolution, many federal agencies are operating at a level below their approved fiscal year 1995 budget. The reduction that Informix is offering applies to all goods and services included in the company's 1996 GSA Schedule (contract number: GS-35F-0132D). This reduction represents Modification 1 to the contract. About Informix Informix Software is the leading supplier of high performance, parallel processing database technology, for open systems.
