I ran into a number of problems, mostly to do with compound-keyed indexes getting corrupted, so I'd have to delete the index and rebuild it. Once the system went into production, it failed miserably. I'm not sure which were bugs on the part of Infoflex (probably most of them), and which were D-ISAM bugs. I had no problems with file compatibility. I routinely used Informix-SQL's schema editor on the database I was running Infoflex on without difficulty. Infoflex did include all the D-ISAM source. I had to buy the D-ISAM documentation directly from the company that makes the product. The documentation was very sparse. I had a small conversion project that I was trying to code using the D-ISAM routines that I never finished. Sorry that I can't tell you much about D-ISAM directly, but I thought this might be of some use. Andrew Evans - andrew@airs.com
