Re: Dialing pagers

OK, I am trying to think of a way to do this in my environment. Currently, we have the Hylafax software installed in one of our ScoUnix machine, and our database server (Sun) routinely sending out fax through this Fax server. We have a simple script program extracting the data from the database, generate a fax page and then call the fax client program to send out the fax. I believe Hylafax actually support paging and since Halifax supports modem pool, I think it is a good way for you to finish dialing all these numbers in a relative short time. Hylafax is a free software, modems are not expensive and the script programs are easy to write. So, I think this method is worth to try. However, as all other freewares, you don't have too much support from them and configuration can be time consuming. Hope this will help.
