INFORMIX 4GL/RDS FOR windoze

From the net (WINDOWS VS CHARACTER BASED): >First, I don't think Sally (or I) attacked you personnally. I attacked the >notion that Windows is the end-all platform for everybody, which is the >impression I got from your first post. (You sounded like a Redmond Marketing >Coordinator to me). Sally merely concurred with my opinion. I drive an old '87 Calias W/110,000 miles - a rust bucket. It starts every morning and (so far) gets me where I'm going. I really like the new Pontiac Firebird Convertable. Do I really need this new car? Will it get me to work faster? Cheaper? No. But I really want it... people will envy me... I'll look cool. There seems to be a correlation here, we are in the computer business, I guess we're suppose to push the fast shiny sports car stuff, but I like to push sensible solutions. My two cents. (and no I'm not still using my Timex/Sinclair 1000) jregep --
