We are upgrading our 4GL application from version 4.13.UD3 to version 7.20. Online version 5.05.UC2 to 7.3.UC6. (RS6000 AIX 4.2.1) We observated that the small programs are bigger after recompiling (+ 50 %) and the big programs (over 8 Mb) are smaller after recompiling (6 Mb). Can anyone explain this ?
