RE: oncockpit?

OnCockpit is a monitoring tool that started its life back in the 7.1x days. The tool is X-windows based, and monitors several things about the database. When you first bring it up, it has graphs for performance of Disks, SHM Buffers, CPU, ISAM Calls and Logical Logs. Through it you can also get the graphical display of individual queries (xtree), and have it monitor various alarm conditions. If you have access to an X server, give it a try. Set up a service in the /etc/services file, export COCKPITSERVICE to use that file, run onprobe (agent process for cockpit), then run oncockpit.
