ontape restore takes forever .....

Hi, we are running Informix Online 7.10 under Solaris 2.4 and found that when attempting to restore a backup that was made using ontape that it takes a very long time. Our database is about 4.5 GB with about 2 GB of data in blobspaces and the rest in dbspace. A backup using ontape takes about two hours while a full restore takes about ten hours. In fact, I have been trying to set up replication which requires that I build the secondary server from a backup of the primary and it is painfully slow.
