Sorry, but my company expects me to access news groups through Google which has been giving me grief. I am also required by company policy to use a completely identifying sig, even for test posts. If you can read 'n' write alt.test then you can read all newsgroups - barring gross error at the server, but then, these tests are about testing your OWN connectivity, yes? 2) You poor bastard. Haven't you figured out some sort of underground access to a news server yet? Try telling the powers that be about the massive drenching you'll be getting from spammers real soon unless you use a false e-mail address (or, setup a public account at mail.com so that it absorbs all the spam)
