dbimport failed with *** prepare unldobj & 201 - A syntax error

I am posting this as a new message as I could not see my original post. I think I know what the prob. was. I used -d option incorrectly. Looks like dbexport is running ok now by using: dbexport <database name> -ss Thank you.
