Which software engine is better ? Helper ! Informix and Baan are making big waves together. Baan is now bundled with Informix as its default engine. Informix has (IMO) a much better technology than Oracle, and it was also recently re-written (1990-odd), whereas Oracle is still cobbling and patching its old 1970's technology. Also, I believe that Oracle's insistence on trying to be all things to all men (and women! :-) will bite them on the bum one day soon. Hint: Oracle Financials is a big competitor to Baan and SAP... :-) -- Ciao, Billy Nose to the ear in Johannesburg, Murder Capital of the World.
