update blob coloumn

Hi, We are using Informix 7.23 and RDS 6.05 on SCO 5.0.4 We have a like: create table za( a serial, b char, c text, .. ) (This table has 1 000 000 rows with empty c column...) How can I update ccolumn with an ascii file (more than 256 chars)? I want to do this with 4GL code.. Do you have an idea ? thanks for help...
