What I've done in the past, though not on Solaris, is:-
unmount the filesystems
Go into single user mode
Run divvy (or it's Solaris equiv)
Renamed the current filesystem(s)
Created a new filesystem(s) with the old names from above
mount both the old and new filesystems
Copied the data from the old filesystem(s) to the new one
and restarted the server in multi-user. This seems the simplest way with no
involvement of tapes. I have also done this with HP-UX and LVMs, SCO UNIX
and a few others. This saves me dropping the data onto tape, always have 2
current backups anyway, and getting involed in extra downtime. It also means
that it's a straight disk to disk transfer, no variables to change etc..
