Internal error - Segmentation violation
Hi,
We are using Informix-OnLine Dynamic Server 7.10.UD1 under Solaris 2.4 on a
Sun SPARCserver 10/512.
Yesterday, for the 2nd time, the OnLine database server went down in the
middle of a session where some 50 students were excercising SQL using DBAccess.
The following messages were written into the log :
11:55:39 Assert Failed: Internal Error - Segmentation Violation
11:55:39 Who: Session(138, ndeville@eduserv, 15364, 30)
Thread(477, sqlexec, a104924, 1)
11:55:39 Results: OnLine must abort
11:55:39 Action: Reinitialize shared memory
11:55:39 See Also: /tmp/af.119db5, shmem.119db5.0
11:55:45 rsdebug.c, line 3591, thread 477, proc id 225, Segmentation Violation.
11:55:45 PANIC: Attempting to bring system down
User 'ndeville' was merely editing a query at the time the database server
went down ... !?
Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
