New Era and 64K windows seg-size limitation

Hi, We are in process of evaluating New Era as our future development tool. One thing we have heard about this was a Windows' limitation of segment size of 64K. What this means in terms of New Era is, according to someone, that you can not have say globals larger than 64K or array size should be less than 64K or when you have table with large number of fields, you will have restriction of storing only certain number of records in an array.You do not have such limits when you program in INFORMIX 4GL. Can anyone throw some light on this issue? How critical is this? If this is a windows limitation, how other people with say powerbuilder are coping with that?
