Help re OUT OF DATA SPACE error

We get this error often when running very small modules ( < 500 lines ) on our 4-Pentium ALR under SCO. The methodology is to use simple select statements to pull records from an index table, then select actual data from a second table based on record number returned in first select. We have tried changing from global variables to local, initializing the records to null, but no change. Any guidance appreciated! Ting Barrow ting@adm.com tingb@delphi.com
