WEB tools and Informix

Hello all. I have been investigating the possibility of publishing some information we have on an Informix server on the web. "$INFORMIXDIR/lib/sqlexec -V" returned version 5.02.UC3. The server is running on a M88k system. We got this system as a package with the billing/ accounting software. What we want to do is have the web server be on a different system, running a different OS. Essentially, the CGIs would talk to the Informix DB via our LAN. The WEB server will undoubtably be running some UNIX variant. Can someone make some recommendations as to what software would be good? Also, since I'm pretty new to the Informix game, what would I need to get from Informix(if anything) to do something like this? I'm still trying to digest the relevant bits of the Informix FAQ.
