Re: Using ROWID for sorting on OWS

Hi You are not saying how they connect. 1. I-Net ver ? + Borland Native Driver ver ? + Borland BDE ver ? 2. I-Net ver ? + Informix ODBC {QE Intersolv ver ??} + Borland BDE ver ? 3. Openlink ODBC ver ? + Borland BDE ver ? 4. SQL Retriever ver ? + Borland BDE ver ? 5. Openlink ODBC ver ? + ODBC Express ver ? The !@#$% Borland BDE is full of bugs. Tell your client to do a SQL trace and check for yourself what the BDE actually does. Switch over to ODBC Express. It replace the BDE and is much faster than the BDE. Every ODBC or Native driver is different, and most have some sort of bug. The latest versions sometimes breaks previous fixes. Trial and error. We use Openlink with ODBC Express over Intranet, and local net. Very fast and no bugs. Free: www.odbcexpress.com and www.openlinksw.com Hope it helps Hannes David Williams <djw@smooth1.demon.co.uk> wrote in article <01AohNAvJfc0EwdQ@smooth1.demon.co.uk>... > In article <64qqmk$l52@cssun.mathcs.emory.edu>, "Ing.
