ACE Report Question

Hello All. I'm using ACE to write a report for one of my customers. One of the fields I need to output in the report is a blob text field. In order to output this field, I need to store it in some type of ACE variable. I've tried assigning this field to a character variable of size 10,000, but ACE tells me that this variable is not large enough (makes sense since a text field can be of unlimited size). I've tried using the CLIPPED keyword, but I get an error telling me that this can only be used for character fields (not text fields). Does anyone have any ideas on how a text field can be stored as a variable in ACE???? Any help is extremely appreciated...
