You have two things to do: 1) Recompile everything with 4GL 7.20. Good but there will be problems to solve due to changes in the versions. But get on it it's a better release. Meanwhile: 2) Execute the following ksh script, assuming a US English installation (if not adjust the subdirectories): cd $INFORMIXDIR/msg/en_us/0333 for file in *; do ln -s $PWD/$file $INFORMIXDIR/msg; done Now your older 6.xx compiled apps will continue to work until you get around to recompiling them. BTW it is better to post error numbers than message text. We usually remember the gotcha error numbers and can finderr the text if we need to. Art S. Kagel 2
