I am implemented a model of distribuited databases, where I must to have geographically seperated databases (remote databases back-end), that are interactuing with others computers front-end. I have some doubs about these topics: 1.-How can I use the GRANT statement to specify access privileges for a remote database ? 2.-Does Informix carry statistical about access time on a databases? 3.-How does Informix-OnLine find remote servers if it doesn't specify the acces path? 4.-Are there any gredee distribution transparency ? 5.-How can I program the VIEW and the PRIVILEGES in a remote machine that access a local database ? 6.- what does log file carry in and how can I edit it or show it?
