Anyway, i guess i wil be able to survive with some unix fox. But i certainly need big help for following I will be having some logical devices pool like .5Gb disk slices, 1.5GB disk slices, 2GB disk slices. I need to make some script or somelogic where i should be able to get out the logical slices out of the pool in the order of box no. Let me explain with example like 1.5Gb devices pool b->box (1-7), l->lun(00-07), s->slice(00-17) b01l00s00 b02l00s00 b03l00s00 b04l00s00 b05l00s00 b06l00s00 b07l00s00 and so on..... I need some logic where i can go and take out the device name in the above mentioned order out of the device pool. So the allocation in informix will be something like this Lets say one dbspace on per coserver per fact table factdbs.1[dbspace on 1st coserver] will be on b01l00s00 factdbs.2[dbspace on 2nd coserver] will be on b02l00s00 factdbs.3[dbspace on 3rd coserver] will be on b03l00s00 factdbs.4[dbspace on 4th coserver] will be on b04l00s00 factdbs.5[dbspace on 5th coserver] will be on b05l00s00 factdbs.6[dbspace on 6th coserver] will be on b06l00s00 I guess this way i will be able to use all my 7 storage box with all my controllers. I will highly appreciate your attention for the same. Thanks Sanjeev K. Sagar __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Bid and sell for free at http://auctions.yahoo.com
