I can't help you with such a beast. If you can't get hold of it though, it would be *very* simple to port your 4GL programs to Unix and run there (if it is based on nothing but plain 4GL code). According to my experience it should be a simple recompile and run. That experience is not from the Novell version, but from the dos version to Unix. I can see no big difference though. A *long* time ago I actualy maintained a MS DOS and Unix version of some programs in paralell. All I did was to compile exactly the same code on one or the other platform. Going from DOS to Unix was never a problem. Everything allways compiled as is with no changes. (The other way was sometimes a problem due to size limitations of the compiled code and number of variables the C compiler on DOS could handle.) You might look into runing with an SE 5.x engine on SCO Unix on a small PC. Another point. Is there actually a hard limit on the number of users of this Novell engine. If there is a way to make the 8 users gain access to the engine you have I would strongly advocate that although it may technically be in violation to your contract with Informix. If Informix can't supply this upgrade I also doubt they would do anything about such a violation (or even be able to). I would talk to them about it of course - no such thing should ever be done except in the open. Property rights are prety important.
