you can dd it from one tape to another; however make sure when dd
that you supply the blocksize used when createing the archive!!!
blocksize in $INFORMIXDIR/etc/$ONCONFIG
TAPEBLK
if the data on dds3 is more then what fits on a dds2 then the answer
is
no you can not do this!!!
