MONTHLY POSTING Informix vs. Sybase vs. Oracle vs. (gasp) MS
Posted in 1997
In order to save us all some aggravation and bandwidth I have summarised = Pablos argument (sic) and will now post it to the list on a monthly = basis. (Which is a hugely less frequent basis than he currently does it) Herewith: Pablo is smarter than anyone else on this list. Everyone who thinks that row level locking is important in any circumstance= s at all is an idiot; unlike Pablo, who can see through all the marketing = hype than all you bozos are too thick to see through. Pablo believes that it is better to spend endless hours tinkering with a = program so that it will work with page level locking, rather than turn out = 3 or 4 workmanlike, business-level solutions in the same time-frame. But = that does not matter because Pablo clearly does not have to account for = his time, and his superiors probably do not know how unproductive he is. = Besides Pablo, you see, is an *artiste*. (You probably don=27t understand = that either.) If you disagree with Pablo you are an idiot. (See point 1, you are = probably an idiot anyway) If you post a question that Pablo does not have an answer for, he will not = answer it. Pablo is not biased towards Sybase, in spite of being the keeper of the = FAQ, and being willing to bend logic to unsustainable lengths in order to = defend Sybase. If you think he is biased, it is just another example of = how thick you all are. Pablo will die rather than abandon an indefensible position. Pablo will die rather than admit his position is indefensible. Pablo will die rather than admit his position is actually his position. If I have missed any points, please let me know, and I will add them to = the next scheduled monthly posting. Peter Tashkoff <tashkop=40iname.com> My opinions are my own, (Pablo, you just wish they were yours)
