Migrating to informix 7.23

I was told that I should migrate from 5.05 to 5.10 before migrating to = 7.23. Has anyone had an experience with migrating directly from 5.05 to = 7.23? What are the pitfalls? I feel that this extra step seems pretty = extreme. Please respond to lswartz@co.sarasota.fl.us Thanks, Linda=20
