Re: ontape error message

I don't know what the reason could be for this error,
but I think it could be something with connection to the server.
I suppose it is a UNIX version of IDS ?
1. First of all on this error type I would truss the ontape to see
the system calls after wich the ontape dies. It could help.
2. Check the limit on number of processes for a user
in your kernel parameter. Although I have big doubts this is the
cause.
3. Check the number of connections configured in NETTYPE ? Is this
number exceeded ?
I didn't get such error, and I don't know what else could be.
Best Regards,
Octav
