How to remove ER ?

Good morning/evening, We use ER to replicate databases. Our replication scheme involves 3 servers: 1 master 9.40.uc2, 1 slave 9.40.uc2, 1 slave 9.30.fc3. ER works very bad (server crashes, and so on), so that we stop replication ("cdr stop") on the 3 servers. Now I want to rebuild replication servers from scratch. ER beeing not active, how to remove it ? Just drop database syscdr on the 3 servers, or something else to do ? Thank you, Philippe
Do you have any open cases which describe the problems that you are seeing? If ER is not running on any of the servers, then you can drop the syscdr database on each of the servers. However, I'd really like to know the problems that you are having. "Ph. Thank you for your answers.
Finaly, I have made "cdr start" on the 3 servers (none of them died !), and
then "cdr delete server ...". This problem is OK.
Madison, you ask me what is our problem...
Well, we try to use ER since 1 year, and each time we made unusual
operations we observed, during operation or a bit later, the crash of one of
the servers involved in replication.
Unusual operations are, for example:
- very large transactions on the primary server
- "cdr suspend" one server, in order to make dbexport from it
Yesterday, I read once again the ER guide, and I think I have found the
reason off all our problems: the 3 servers have been created as "root
servers", but there is no network path between the 2 slave servers, due to a
firewall.
Now, I've defined the two slave servers as "leaf servers", and I am to
recreate all the replicates. I have also increased the value of CDR_QUEUEMEM
and the size of sbspaces used by ER. I hope it will work this time !
