That's right. You can't use for a chunk a raw device with an offset bigger than 2G (or if chunk offset + chunk size > 2GB). To use big disks you can do one of: 1. Split disk in a number of partitions of 2Gb each. 2. If number of partitions on disk is a constraint make just one partition and make a number of raw filesystems (actually slices) on it and use them. 3. Of course you can use a volume manager to make volumes of 2Gb each on these disks.
