Documented in 5.0, but actually working in 4.1, you may use tbtape. tbtape -N database turns logging off for a database tbtape -U database -s turns Unbuffered logging on for a database If you on not using 4.1, you may still turn logging on and off, but its alot more painful, since Informix has to be brought to quiescent. Email me if you want those directions.
