Informix issue in IBM http server

Hi I have a problem in informix environmental setting issue. When i am trying to run a shell script thru html file , then it is throwing an error Could not load program sacego: Dependent module libifsql.so could not be loaded. Could not load module libifsql.so. System error: No such file or directory Could not load program isql: Dependent module libifsql.so could not be loaded. Could not load module libifsql.so. System error: No such file or directory Actually in shell script i am using informix utility (either it is isql or sacego) But when i am running same shell script in UNIX machine its running fine. Is it a setting issue in HTTP server ??? help me ASAP Thanks -- with Regards... Arbind Kumar Singh

Does your shell script set all the appropriate environement variable INFORMIXDIR INFORMIXSERVER ONCONFIG PATH LIBPATH and maybe others? In the UNIX environment it will inhereit any of these values that are already set before you run your sacego command It may be an idea to catch the output of 'env' just prior to the call of sacego in your shell script and run the shell script when it works and when it doesn't to see what is differences there are Arbind wrote: > Hi > > I have a problem in informix environmental setting issue. Make sure INFORMIXDIR, INFORMIXSERVER and LD_LIBRARY_PATH are set. Probably a good idea to set DBDATE also. LD_LIBRARY_PATH=<usual librarypath>:$INFORMIXDIR/lib:$INFORMIXDIR/lib/esql If you put a 'set -x' at the top of the shell script it will tell you more about where things are failing. hth

Hi, check that you have set the appropriate environment correctly when executing the shell script by the http server. It seems you are missing the LD_LIBRARY_PATH environment variable. (On some UNIX derivates it has a different name, e.g. LIB_PATH, etc). You may want to set such environment variables explicitly in the shell script, then you can be sure that they are set when the script is executed by the http server.
