There is of course no way arround using the proper tools for the proper purposes. There never are. I also didn't see (or understand) this as a request for Informix to do a port of their 4GL to NT. That would be an utterly stupid move on Informix's part, and I am quite sure they will not ever attempt such a feat. For those who might want 4GL on NT (hopefully for them for a very short term only) there seems to be other alternatives.
