Please see the attachment of informix window. See the column name "daridrya_survey_f+". i want to see the full name of this column name but i don't know how to see? Please give the solution. can i see the full column name on same window and same location? Actual column name is "daridrya_survey_finyear".
Hi,
attachments are not put in the list. I assume, you have tried to see the
columns of a table
in dbaccess info menu.
Dbaccess has an internal restriction, which cuts off the full name. It is not
parametrized,
as AFAIK.
Use dbschema to see the complete column names, if they are too long for
dbaccess to display.

Sorry, but attachements do not get posted on the forum. You will have to
paste it directly into your post if you want us to see it. What "Informix
window" are you talking about? Do you mean the table name listing in
dbaccess's menus? That was designed back when all table names were limited
to 18 characters and cannot be changed.

Another alterative, if you just want a table list by database get my
utils2_ak package. In there is the utility listdb7. You can run:
listdb7 -d <databasename> -t
that will list all of the tables in the selected database. If you add the
-D option it will tell you about each table and every index on those tables
(size, location, lock mode, etc.).
