They may have good reasons for that or bad or non in particular or whatever. That's not all that interesting. The interesting part remains what people want to buy. If you think you can make a professional product for them it isn't wrong to do so. And it is possible notwithstanding some peoples aversions. In some situations runing SCO, NT or Linux on a laptop for demos or on any PC for any purpose may be fine. It may better than runing Windows 95. In many cases it is better of course. But again if there is a demand from customers Informix may not be fools for listening. Others have said that Informix need to be customer oriented, listen to their customers. This may be what they are doing.
