Contentets of a chunk

Hello,
we are working with IDS 7.24.UC7 for AIX4.1.5.
We use DBSPACETEMP=temp different of root dbspace.
We have a problem with a chunk in root dbspace. Sometimes it grows
until:
chunk/dbs offset size free flags
6/1 0 25000 377 PO-
and I don´t know the reason.
If I put oncheck -pe, the result is:
.....
.....
.....
Chunk:6 Size:25000 Used:24623 Free:377
Disk usage Start Length
--------------------------------------------------------
..Table...........
..............
.........
TBLSPACE TBLSPACE 579 50
FREE 629
377
.....................
..................
............................
1286 8
Another dbspace.
What happens with space between 1294 and 25000?
What is the way to know the contents of a chunk?
Thanks in advance,

Sometimes it grows When you are using SELECT INTO TEMP WITH NO LOG - this goes to the tempdbspace, but when SELECT INTO TEMP - this goes to the root dbspace. In other words, if DBSPACETEMP points to the temporary dbspace, only 'no logging' temporary tables are created there. -- With best regards, Yuri Dovgart, SAP R/3, Informix consultant, "Telecominvest" company.
