You do not have to include the INTO clause. What is the error you are
receiving? What does the cursor code that you are writing look like? Are
you using 4GL or ESQL/C?

BKR
Should you not have an INTO clause, like so:
select emp_desig_cd INTO $v_emp_desig_cd
from pmm_designation
where emp_desig_cd in (select post_cd from pmm_stn_strength)

Hi
I have a query which works fine as a select statement.
But when used in cursor gives an error.
as in
select emp_desig_cd from pmm_designation
where emp_desig_cd in (select post_cd from pmm_stn_strength)The above select when declared as a cursor does not work.
Informix version 7.21
Also how to get Sql version
Thanks in advance
