Logical Logs Q
Posted in 1995
I assume you are refering to doing continuos backup of logical logs using the tbtape -c command or from the monitor If your logs are full up then they will have to be backed up before the system will come back on line. The question really is Why is the backup being killed This may be related to the device which is being used. On a number of Unix system if the O/S cannot support two tape devices being open at once then the results may be un-expected when it is asked to do this. Perhaps a little more information on the machine and O/S might give you a better answer -- Terry Boyland ---------------------------------------------- -- -- Windata Ltd Mail To :Terry@century.demon.co.uk -- -- I thought of these ideas all by myself -----------------------------------------------
