Synchronization between Informix OL 7.x and another DB (Watcom)???

Howdy All, My current project supports both a local/connected (using OnLine 7.x/Inet 5.01.x) 'mode' and remote/disconnected (using a Watcom 4 DB on the client PC) 'mode'. The front end is a Win3.1/95 app built with PowerBuilder. In either mode of operation the data model/DB schema is the same. I have methods to totally duplicate a DB from local to remote, remote to remote, local to local. I need a method to optimally 'synchronize' DBs - ie not duplicate entire db - but to only post changed (new rows, modified rows, deleted rows, etc) 'stuff' from the source db to the destination db. I have a prototype of synchronizing from Watcom to Informix (or to another Watcom). I don't have a method to synchronize from Informix to Watcom (or to anther Informix). The Watcom method simply converts the Watcom log file to SQL and posts all the statements to the destination DB. This works pretty well. (And then 'flushes' the log file to prevent any duplication of synchronization, ofcourse). Being relatively new to Informix - is this a possible solution under Informix? What might be other methods to synchronize DBs where the source is Informix? What tools does Informix have for distributed DBs and or heterogeneous synchronization? Issues pertaining to: concurrent accesses, what if changes are being made while a synchronaztiono is progress, or changes have been made to the dest since the last synchonization can be ignored! The nature of my application does allow for these issues (well 99.9% of the time). Thanks in advance, Fred Welland Interealty Corp.
