I keep the Informix SQL Reference Manual v4.00 still because I can't find where the new manuals talk about ACE reports. You should see if you can get this book. It is officially: Informix-SQL Reference Manual Version 4.0 March 1990 Part No. 000-7042 The format for specifying a date range in an SQL form is earlier_date:later_date and the query assumes that if an odd number of colons appear in the statement that the middle one is a range separator. An alternate form is: earlier_date..later_date which may be used only on DATETIME and INTERVAL types to avoid confusion over the colons. This from page 4-37 of the above book, under "Query Operator Syntax". I saw several other posts, but none that gave quite this answer, so FWIW, here 'tis. (I haven't made a thorough check of the v7 books for this info yet, they may have put the Report and Perform stuff back in. There were some format changes made, but I'm not sure about content.)
