High extents

I have some tables which are 55 mb or so having extents more than 76. Can anybody advise how to reduce the extents and seek time. IFX 7.13 UC1 Sun solaris 2.6 Mrrored Hd with 4 dbspaces on same hard disk TIA Mukund
