Re: Does C api come with Informix-online?

The C-API you can get from Informix is called Informix CLI (Call Level Interface). This is based on the ANSI CLI standard wich is similar to (the same as?) ODBC. This API is, as I understand it, available from different vendors both for Informix and the other major RDBMS vendors for use on Unix as well as Windows NT. It's an extra cost option wherever you get it from. fren5011@PROBLEM_WITH_YOUR_MAIL_GATEWAY_FILE.nyu.edu (David Frenkiel) wrote: :Hello. : I am considering using the Netscape Enterprise Server/Informix-online : package to service a web site. : Up until now I have been using mSQL with CGI scripts written in C. : This is a least-common-denominator solution and in my opinion it is : still the best solution to web/database connectivity. : So all I want to do is replace the mSQL C-api calls with Informix : C-api calls. : I DO NOT WANT to use the LiveWire javascript stuff nor do I want : to use ESQL/C or any other such tools.
