what does the log file and reject log say?, have you set your INFORMIXSERVER to tcp connection ? have you created the onpload database?
try creating the onpload database with the below procedure,
1) set informix env variables
2) set INFORMIXSERVER to tcp connection
3) set DISPLAY env variable
4) run 'ipload' command
step # 4 should create the ipload database for you, then try re-running the job, if you are still getting the problem(also check the log and reject files), try to use the GUI and create/run a test job to test.
