i4gl 1.1 to 4.1 Conversion Help

I am converting a system written in i4gl version 1.10 to version 4.1 . The code makes extensive use of synonyms. I know the system table structure for synonyms has changed between the versions, but are there any changes I need to make to the code, or will the version 4.1 handle the synonyms in the same way as version 1.10 ?
